Digital Students Attend Futures Summit for Underrepresented Groups

Global Academy’s Digital T Level and Esports students had the unique opportunity to attend the BTF 2024 FUTURES Summit on 10th October in Tottenham, London. This immersive event, organised by Colorintech, is Europe’s largest technology and culture festival, focusing on innovation, inclusion, and providing tech opportunities for underrepresented groups.

At the summit, our students explored a wide array of careers in technology and digital industries, participating in workshops, attending expert-led panels, and networking with industry leaders. They gained invaluable insights into both university degrees and apprenticeships in the tech world, helping them make informed decisions about their future pathways.

Students get hands on work placements with ITV

Global Academy recently partnered with ITV Academy, offering sixth-form students hands-on work placements at Multistory Media, known for hit shows like Come Dine With Me. Students gained valuable insights into TV production, enhancing their skills and inspiring career ambitions. This collaboration reflects our joint commitment to real-world industry readiness for students.

This hands-on experience gave them a deeper understanding of the various roles in TV production. Future TV creators in the making! 🎬✨

GA attend top Audio industry conference

Ten lucky Global Academy students participated in Tuning In 2024, a major audio event themed "Unlocking the Audio Advantage." The event showcased the evolving landscape of audio media, with discussions on new radio brands, podcasting, and the impact of AI in audio planning.

Reflecting on the experience, one student shared:

“It was amazing to be surrounded by so many professionals in the audio and broadcasting industries. Hearing from people like James Rea and the Loud Parade team really opened my eyes to the possibilities in audio and radio, and I loved learning about the creative side of radio advertising. This event showed me how broad the industry is and has inspired me to explore different career paths within media.”
